As America's 250th anniversary year approaches, noted historical and documentary filmmaker Ken Burns will present a six-part, 12-hour documentary on how it all began and you can experience not only a free preview of the series, but hear a local Native American historian at the same time on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Dobisky Visitors Center in Ogdensburg.
The American Revolution screening tour, a public preview of Burns' documentary series, "The American Revolution," is being offered nationwide by the American Battlefield Trust and Daughters of the American Revolution. It's currently touring libraries, historical societies, and museums.
You will see highlights from the multi-part documentary which took eight years to develop, and learn about the people and events of the Revolutionary War. Burns' series premiers Nov. 16 from 8-10 p.m. and airs for six consecutive nights through Nov. 21 on…
