Open Doors to History

For Open Doors to History Days, the Ogdensburg History Museum is offering free admission to all visitors alongside interactive local history challenges tailored for both adults and children.

Our headline activation is the "Maple City History Scavenger Hunt" at our 206 Ford Street location:

• For Adults: A traditional trivia-and-fact-finding scorecard exploring our permanent exhibits, including our local Hart pottery and Horwood stained glass displays.

• For Children: A mystery-style hunt to find hidden letters near the exhibits. Decoding the historical "Secret Word" and sharing it at the front desk unlocks an official Junior Historian slap bracelet.

All completed adult scorecards and children's entries will be placed into a prize drawing for a gift card to local favorite Sweet Emilie’s Coffee & Ice Cream.
