About the event
March is Women’s History Month, and the Ogdensburg History Museum is proud to honor the contributions of women throughout history. As part of their celebration, the museum will be holding a special children’s program on Saturday, March 8th at 11:30 am.
The program will feature the work of renowned sculptor Sally James Farnham, best known for her sculpture of Simon Bolivar. Farnham’s Spirit of Liberty, also known as The Soldiers and Sailors Monument, has received critical acclaim and is a beloved landmark in Ogdensburg. Farnham is just one of the many women who will be honored during the program.
Another notable woman who will be recognized is Dr. Mary Bryan, who cared for thousands of women and children in both India and Ogdensburg. Her dedication to improving the lives of others has left a lasting impact on the community.
