About the event

Join us at the museum for an online author event and virtual conversation with actor, author, and civil rights activist George Takei. In his acclaimed graphic memoir They Called Us Enemy, Takei shares the story of his family's forced incarceration as Japanese Americans during WWII, the terrors and small joys of childhood in the shadow of legalized racism, and the way those experiences planted the seeds for his astonishing future as an activist. This event is free and for members of the museum only! Snacks will be provided. Please RSVP to let us know you're coming.
