History is stepping out of the archives and back onto the streets of Ogdensburg! Following a successful debut, the Ogdensburg History Museum is proud to announce the second round of the “Ogdensburg in the Revolution” Traveling Exhibit and Scavenger Hunt, starting March 11, 2026.
This unique community event invites residents and visitors to explore the pivotal role of Fort Oswegatchie during the fight for independence. While many think of the Revolution happening elsewhere, Ogdensburg was a strategic frontline that shaped the local community we know today.
A Revolution at Your Favorite Local Spots
Instead of sitting behind glass, this exhibit is hitting the town again. Seven vibrant historical banners have been stationed at iconic local businesses and landmarks for this second phase. Participants are encouraged to visit these local favorites to view the banners and learn about the North Country’s contributions to the war effort:
