About the event
The Ogdensburg History Museum and Ogdensburg Public Library are proud to announce their collaboration on a year-long commemoration of the American Revolution. This exciting event will kick off on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 6pm at the Ogdensburg Public Library, located at 312 Washington St.
The highlight of the event will be the opening of the "Ogdensburg in the American Revolution" traveling exhibit. This exhibit will showcase Fort Oswegatchie’s role in the American Revolution and its impact on the local community. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the city's history and its contributions to the fight for independence.
To add to the educational experience, Dr. Melissane Schrems will be the guest speaker at the opening event. Dr. Schrems is an associate professor of history at St. Lawrence University.
